Vatsana's Story

 Vatsana was born in a war-torn country and spent her early childhood in a refugee camp before her family was given the chance to “come to America.” With courage and curiosity, she learned a new language, embraced a new culture, and grew up shaped by the richness of both East and West.

Like many children from immigrant and underprivileged backgrounds, Vatsana faced challenges—poverty, cultural expectations, and being told to fit into a mold. But instead of shrinking, she dreamed bigger. Art school felt out of reach, so she became an entrepreneur and spent years helping others launch their own dreams. 

As a proud mother of two grown daughters, she knows how important it is to teach children to believe in themselves and to dream boldly. Her passion for painting and storytelling led her to create books that inspire children to imagine, believe, and take flight.

Vatsana’s message is simple and powerful:
“We all have one life, and we all have something special inside us. If we dare to dream and have faith—who knows? Maybe they will come true. If you believe.”

She hopes her stories bring joy, spark imagination, and remind readers of all ages to lead with love, laughter, and courage.
