The stories in the books and series are about doing the impossible, going against the grain of what others think you should be and what you should do. Dreams have been squashed unintentionally because of the lack of encouragement. Each character plays a role, but the focus is on the one who dared to dream, chased it, and found a way to reach it, sometimes unexpectedly. The other message is about accepting one another for who they are, embracing individuality, and loving them for their uniqueness.
During their struggles, someone or something comes along and assists them with making the impossible possible, all because they chose to believe.
